After Anson, we trekked down to San Antonio. It was HOT!!! We got there Sunday night and Britton was way out of his element schedule-wise. He usually goes to bed before the sun goes down and wakes up when the sun is rising. So when darkness hit while we were drivingm the poor kid got scared! He started crying because he couldn't see anyone. We drove with the light on for a while and he finally realized we were there even if he couldn't see us.
On Monday, we went shopping at La Cantera Mall. Britton was SUCH a trooper! I tried to keep him on his schedule as much as possible. We swam in the late afternoon and he took to the water like a fish!
Tuesday, we went to Pearsall. My mom lived there for the first part of her childhood. We visited 2 of my great-aunts, sisters of my grandma. Which make them Britton's GREAT-GREAT aunts. When we got back, we took Britton swimming in the pool again. OMG, he LOVED it! I for sure think he could be the next Michael Phelps! ;)
On Wednesday, we went and visited my BFF from college, Stephanie. She has two boys. Luke is almost 4, and Lawson is almost 2. They are soooo cute and sooo smart! She also ha me come home with tons of clothes, shoes, and toys for Britton. Stephanie is the one who also gave me a frillion things for the baby before Britton arrived. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and generosity!
We flew home on Thursday and Britton did awesome! It was much easier than I thought it would be. Having the forward-facing unbrella stroller helped tremendously!
It was sooooo nice to finally be back at our own house, but it was kinda sad since Lewis wasn't home yet.
On Friday morning, Britton had his 4 months shots. He cried much more than he did at his 2 months shots.
He is also in the 90th percentile for his height and weight. At his 2 month appt, he was in the 75th percentile. He weighs 17 lbs and is 26.5 inches long. We were told to introduce cereal and oatmeal now, veggies at 5 months, fruits at 6 months, and meats at 9 months. Holy Moly, my baby is growing up!
Britton is still sleeping great! 11-12 hours straight every night. Once in a while he wakes for a bottle, but not very often.
He was sick this past weekend. It was his first cold. He startedto get a little cough on Thursday night and I mentioned it to the pediatrician on Friday. By Friday night, my baby had a stuffy nose. He woke up repeatedly from not being able to sleep. I finally had to put him in his carseat in our room so he could sleep with his head elevated. Saturday, he woke up happy, but still congested and coughing. So I went to Target and bought some saline nose drops, some Vicks Baby Rub, and a humidifier. He was also running a low greade fever, so I gave him some Infant Tylenol. He slept MUCH better SAturday night.
FYI, he does NOT like the saline nose drops and having his boogers aspirated. ;) But he took everything like a champ! He is now feeling much better, and the fever is gone. I think he'll be 100% tomorrow or Tuesday.
