3 weeks old

Britton is 3 weeks today. It has gone by quickly, but also gone by slowly. I think my body is getting used to living in 3-4 hour increments. So 3 weeks down, 18 years to go. :)

He had his 2 week pediatrician appt last week. He was just a few ounces below his birth weight, but the doctor was not concerned. He is eating great and definitely does not look starved. He pees and poops like a champ as well. As a matter of fact, he peed on the pediatrician. :)

He also had an ultrasound on his hip today. He has had a "clicky" hip since he was born and the pediatrician wanted a more in depth look at it. So I took him to get the ultrasound this morning. He did really well. No major crying and he laid pretty still. Granted, I was holding his legs down and was bent over soothing him, but my boy did awesome. The tech even said he was great compared to other babies. And to top it off, when I picked him up off the table, he had pooped on it. My boy does it all. :)

I think he is going through a growth spurt. He is hungry more often and seems to be sleeping more. By no means is he sleeping through the night, but he has more "good nights" than he does "bad" ones. Last night was a long one. I think I got about 3 hours sleep max. And we had to get up early today for doctors appts. I am actually looking forward to going back to sleep after the 7am feeding tomorrow. I hope he goes back to sleep after it, too.

My parents are coming up on Friday. I love having my parents here. I wish they would move here or I wish they lived closer. (HINT HINT MOM!!) I know they are excited to see Britton and I am excited for them to spend time with him.

Here are some pictures I took yesterday and today. He is so long! And he refuses to smile, rather preferring the serious look.

Funny how you say "Hint Hint" after you come right out and say Mom should move there- you're not really hinting. lol.
I can't wait to see my nephew (and bite his cheeks) !!!!!
