2 things

I must be having high expectations again.

We send things to the dry cleaners to save time. Yes, it costs money, but I'd rather pay the price of that than use the time that could be spent doing something else.

Today I "fired" the dry cleaners that Lewis and I use. They are the second one in about 5 months. The first was fired because they clothes didn't come back as clean as I thought they shoudl be. Plus, they were in a part of town that I really don't go to all that often. The second dry cleaners was right by the gym and had the right price. But it was recently "taken over" by the seamstress lady I mentioned in another post, so that should have told me something.

I went today to pick up some clothes and to drop off another load. When I got back to the house, I noticed she had charged me $9 for a skirt JUST BECAUSE IT WAS PLEATED (or "pleaded" as the ticket stated). Also, one of Lewis' pants were pressed fine from the thigh down, but above it was as wrinkled as a 90 year old man. The pockets weren't straightened out and were all wadded up. We've gotten stuff back from them the last couple of times with drops of starch solution cooked into the fabric. So today was just the last straw. With her history, I don't expect things to improve.

I got new glasses. I hadn't gotten any in about 5 years, because I really only wear them at night and when my contacts are all yucky. My left eye was given a way different prescription with my new doctor and so when I wore my contacts all day and then put my glasses on, it took a few minutes to get used to the different prescription. But that doesn't matter anymore. My glasses were stepped on last week, so it forced me to get another pair. I think I look really intelligent in the new pair. I'll try to get a pic of me in them and show you.

I haven't ever had very good luck with drycleaners either and I have alot of drycleaning - it doesn't seem like they will ever take responsibility for their mistakes - GRRRR - we have to be held accountable - why shouldn't they?
