Blog Anniversary

This week marks the one year anniversary of my blog.

Soooo much has changed in my life. All of it for the good. I honestly can't think of anything that's worse now than one year ago.

For starters:

1) I am about 30 lbs lighter and waaay stronger. I think I am in the best shape of my life. Even more than I was in HS. I have removed the negative variables from my life and my whole mindset about eating, exercising, and health has changed, so I will never again be the person I was a year ago.

2) This physical transformation has had a huge effect on my mental and emotional well being. I am not perpetually unhappy and my self esteem has gone through the roof. I owe that not only to working out, but also to ridding my life of negative influences. Surround yourself with good people and good influences, and good things will follow.

3) Lewis. I could get all mushy here, but I'll spare you. Just know I am so blessed with him.

I think those are the three biggest changes in the last year. It's amazing to me where I was and where I am now. I have more friends, I am more confident, I think before I speak (most of the time!) and I'm not so quick to shoot from the hip. It feels like I am more in control. Which really, God is in control, but I can deal with that way better than I used to.

Okay, so on to other things.

I drove a Humvee/H2/Hummer (whatever the heck it's called!) yesterday. It's like driving a big truck. Lewis and I went to rescue some friends that had gotten stuck in the mud at the ranch. I only drove it maybe a mile, but at least I can say I've driven one. The thing sucks fuel like it's going out of style, though.

I'm working 6 days in a row beginning on Wednesday.

My brother's birthday is this weekend. He will be 29.

That's it.
