Pumpkin Patch

I honestly think I had never been to a pumpkin patch in my entire life until I had kids.  I pretty much didn't even know they existed.  But when you have kids, you automatically look for fun holiday things for them to do and for traditions to be born.  And a pumpkin patch visit is on our list for some fall family fun!

We first took Britton to Maxwells Pumpkin Farm when he was 7 months old.

2009

I don't think we even paid admission. We just walked up to a haystack, snapped a few pictures, and called it a day.  There's not much to do at a pumpkin patch with an infant.

Fast forward to 2010

He had much more fun at 18 months!  See?

In 2011, we had another 6 mo infant.  And while we did venture to the pumpkin patch, it was closed due to weather, and we didn't get another opportunity to visit.

But here we are in 2012 and both boys had a blast.

Here is Britton waiting on the hayride to start.  He was quite impatient with the driver and wanted him to "hurry up and drive the tractor".  Once we got going, he was all smiles.  Everytime the tractor stopped, he asked if we had to get off.  Thankfully, we didn't have to get off until the very end, and even then, Britton wasn't too keen on the ride ending.

Britton loved loved loved the slides.  After a few times, he didn't even wait for Lewis to accompany him.  He just grabbed his burlap sack (or not!) and took off!

Listen for his little voice telling me to "take my picture, Mami!!".

My boys on the hayride.

Britton was very much a fan of the "obstacle course".  Bishop, not so much.

This kid loves all things TRACTOR.

I had to recreate a shot from 2010.  How he has grown in 2 yrs!

Looking at the rabbits.

Pointing at the rabbits.

The obligatory haystack picture for 2012.

I rode a little wagon pull ride with boys boys. Bishop cried.  And Britton?  As you can see here, he was grinning from ear to ear!

We have a very similar picture from 2010.

More of the obstacle course

Bishop preferred to be carried and take in the scene from Daddy's arms.

Bishop on the slide with Daddy.  Once he did it the first time, he loved it!

A good time with the family!
