For Lillie...

Let's see...someone (Lillie) wants another post.

BTW, for those of you who don't know, Lillie was the very first friend I made here in STL that had no ties to Terry. I met her at John Hancock, which was the most miserable, awful job I've ever held. It was worse than hoeing cotton. I would cry almost every morning because I hated it so much.

But back to Lillie..she had on this HIDEOUS green sweater the first day I met her that reminded me of something my Aunt Mary Jane once gave me. But she has BEAUTIFUL, long, curly hair and abs of steel. Anyways, Lillie has always been there for me when I have needed her. She's been the one I could count on up here when it seemed like I was all alone. We may go some months without talking, but I always know she's there. I don't think we're very much alike, but there's something to be said for people having your back. Plus, she and her husband love my salsa, except she doesn't like cilantro.

So this post is for you, Lills...

I just finished up a 3 day trip. I was in PHL (Philadelphia) on Tuesday night and PVD (Providence) on Wednesday night. I was able to catch a commuter flight back home this evening so I didn't have to stay in Chicago.

But I only caught it because I was waving like a lunatic to the pilots through the airport windows. Apparently we have this new "thing" that says we can leave 5 minutes early. The jetway door was closed and the jetway bridge was pulled back and the Customer Service Agent was too busy filing her nails to call down and see if they'd let me on. So I was left to my own devices...which included waving my arms like crazy to get the pilots attention. It worked. I got on the flight. *grin*

The trip itself was pretty uneventful. No drama, no memorable passengers. I did get poked in the ribs a lot. I hate when they do that to get your attention! I did fly with 2 pilots I'd flown with before who were SUPER nice. One I flew with this past summer and the other was back in October. They remembered me first, and once they reminded me of the details, I quickly placed them. It's so makes for a better trip when you "click" with your crew.

Not much else going on. I'm scheduled to go back to work on Wednesday, but I'm going to try to trade it for something on Tuesday and then work 6 days in a row.

I also finally found jeans! Good fitting jeans are frickin' hard to find. It's amazing the correlation between price and fit. The more expensive jeans always fit soooo much better. I tried some jeans on at Nordstrom a couple weeks ago and fell in love with a pair...but they cost $175. I cannot rationalize spending that much money on a pair of blue jeans. But I found some at a place I normally wouldn't buy jeans at. But hey, they look cute! And I love the size number! Yeah, yeah, I shouldn't care about that, but I'm a girl, of course I'm going to care about the number on the tag.

Dating is going okay. I'm indifferent to it right now. I've been mainly focusing on work and the gym. I've gone out a few times with T, but, well, I think he's way more interested than I am.

My mom's birthday was yesterday (the 12th). Happy Birthday Mom!

Alright, it's late. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Elisa
