Britton's 2nd Birthday

Well, Britton's 2nd birthday is actually on March 30, but I didn't want to take any chances that Bishop would arrive early and put a dent in the birthday plans.  So we celebrated this past weekend.

My mom and dad came into town after having Britton all of Spring Break.  When they got to our house, Britton was not in a mood to hug or acknowledge his mama. It made me sad, but I know it means he loves his grandparents and spending time with them.

Whenever he leaves, I always think he GROWS so much when I see him again.  And this time was no different!  He came back talking even more than he did when he left and he seemed so big!

We did the same thing for his birthday that we did last year...pizza and cake and just grandparents and uncles/aunts/cousins.

The big difference this year was that Britton "got" opening presents.  Even at Christmas, he still was "eh" on presents.  After opening just ONE present at his party, HE WAS A PRO.  It was so awesome to see his tear into the paper, and squeal with delight when he saw what the present was.  I loved seeing the excitement on his face.

He loves tools and got several tool related things.  He also got a membership to the Discovery Center and money to go into his investment account.  And of course, Lewis built him the Learning Tower for his birthday.

It was a good time.
