Tomorrow starts our Hockey Play Offs.
We play at 1900 and if we win, we have to play again at 2100...against a team that didn't have an earlier game. And then, if we win that one, we play the championship game next Monday. Then a whole new session starts. But it looks like I'll be missing the first game of that new session if it begins on the 30th. I'll be working. I HAVE to. I'll be taking over a week off in February for the ski trip, so I have to cram it all in before and after.
I got new athletic shoes today. They are super cute! Of course, they have all that traction and stablity and cushioning and all that other stuff good athletic shoes should have. But did I mention how cute they are? *grin* They're a Nike Air Max and they are white, silver, with a touch of lilac and plum. My old ones have just about had it.
I saw Syriana this weekend. It was okay. It's about the oil industry and the part that the American government and American refineries play with the Middle East. I liked it because it's a "thinking" movie. Not that it tells you what to think, but leaves you asking yourself questions. I'd say it runs a bit to the leftist idealogy, but it's not too bad.
I also saw 2 DVD's this weekend. Four Brothers was your typical ghetto/gangster movie. Think Boyz In The Hood. Also saw Red Eye. Eh, it was okay. I wouldn't see either one again.
The weather has been great here, not that you could tell since I saw more TV this weekend than I have in the last 2 months. I'm not a big TV watcher. I get my news online or from USA Today. It's mainly because it's such a pain to make my schedule around certain shows. I fly weekday PM's usually, so that cuts out 3 days there. Mondays are hockey, and there's nothing good on TV on Friday's. I saw 24 tonight. That is a dang good show. But it's normal on-air night will be Mondays. I used to watch Lost, but it's on on Wednesdays and I'm working. Aaron, my roommte's BF, has the whole season Tivo'd for me, but I haven't been over to his place to watch it. I think Robin and I are going to get Tivo here. Then maybe I can watch TV like a normal person.
That's my exciting weekend. Woo Hoo.
Talk to you later this week. I'm working 5 days in row, starting Wednesday.

If you have Tivo you would watch TV like a normal person? We only have 2 channels. I think we watch TV like normal people too.
You just make do with what you have. Sometimes it gets pretty bad and I end up watching infomercials. I guess that isn't normal huh?
