My Thursday

I met K for coffee this morning. It went good. Real good.

As crazy as this sounds, I can't think of one single thing about him that I don't like or makes me think "but...". Yeah, I know you all think I'm crazy, but I don't care. I can totally see Guad rolling his eyes if he even reads the blog.

I've talked to M as well, but two nights in a row, he's made plans with me and then has not been able to follow through. I understand why he's had to bail, but then again, for some reason, it's not really bothering me. Maybe because I'm too busy with other things.

Also, Jesus the Trainer gave me what was probably the most intense workout I can remember. Oh. My. Goodness. I'm hurting. And I know it'll hurt more tomorrow. But no pain, no gain, right? I'll be back at it tomorrow morning. We also did body measurements today. We do them once a month. They were very good, but not good enough. At least not to me. Today was my last workout from the original contract. But I got more. I just don't feel ready to go out on my own. So if any of you win the lottery anytime soon, share the wealth.

I also picked up two days of reserve for 200 bucks. People are putting insane amounts of cash to give away their trips. I was fortunate enough to trade all my stuff down and give it away with no money. Now, I can pick up what I want to work at my leisure. And you better believe I'm going to be picking up for cash. What if people don't pay, you ask? Well, trust me, I WILL get my money. There's ways to make them cough up the dough. I've never had anyone not pay, but word gets around quickly as to who's good for their word and who is not.

It's been really frustrating having to juggle when and what I work with hockey, Jesus the Trainer, and my social life, or lack thereof. Sometimes I really wish I had a job where I was home every night. But I can't imagine working 5 days EVERY week, and only having 2 days off in a row each week. Not to mention the fact I wouldn't be able to just hop on a plane anytime I felt like it. I could go work at HDQ in Dallas, but that would be a huge paycut. The union office is another possibility, but there isn't anything fulltime available right now. Oh, well, I'll make it work somehow. I always do.

BTW, we are now starting service from Love Field to St. Louis and Missouri. Woo Hoo!!! No more ping pong around the country just to get to Texas!!!

I'm sorry I haven't been more witty lately. There's just a lot going on. I'll try harder next time. I promise.

Have a good weekend!

Elisa
