Catch up time...Work, hockey, dating...

No, I haven't learned how to post pics yet. No, I don't know when that will be. If you know how, please share.

The two people I flew my last impromptu trip with were super cool. They were around my age and we had a really good time. Sometimes I am apprehensive about flying with people junior to me in seniority because I think they'll goof off and be lazy, but these two were really cool and great flight attendants. I'd fly with them again.

Also, another hockey game last night. We had the late game. We were playing the other previously undefeated team.

First of all, each shift has 4 skaters. We had 5 skaters show up. Ouch. That means we were only going to get one break per 15 minute period, maybe 2. The other team had 2 full lines, plus extra subs.

We ended up winning 4-2, even though the other team had some dirty playeres. I had a few choice words for them. Actually, I grabbed the team captain before a face off and told her very kindly that she may want to have a chat with her #14 because if she shoved her stick into me again, the gloves were coming off. It's amazing how these women can be so different on the rink than they are off the rink. Most of all the women's league has been playing together for years. We all know each other. But dang, piss one of them off during the game, and they'll turn into a psycho. Then, after the game, they ask how things are going. I'm all about saying "I'm sorry" if I accidently hit someone or make them fall. But then again, it's not my fault if you can't skate and you fall. Get back up and quit whining. The goal here is to WIN. So if it comes to you or me getting the puck, I'm gonna do what I have to, so prepare yourself.

Ahhhh...I love friendly competition!! Oh yeah, I also had a goal. Not just any goal, but a BACKHANDED goal. Woo Hoo!! Did you check out the stats site from 2 posts ago? Your truly leads the team in points and goals scored.

But I think it's all a team effort. I am not a cherry picker or a puck hog. Last session, I led the team in assists. See? We are not a selfish team at all. I think because we've all been playing together for so long, we have a cohesiveness on the rink that the other teams lack. We certainly aren't the most talented, but we play well together.

I wish you guys could see a game. They are a lot of fun.

I had 3 "dates" this weekend.

M1 was Saturday night. He's the guy I had drinks with last Tuesday. He locked his keys in his car and we had to wait forever for AAA to unlock it. It was an okay date. He plays hockey, too, but he plays ice, not inline. He really has his crap together, but I'm not sure it's going to turn into anything.

M2 was supposed to be Saturday afternoon for coffee, but I was exhausted from my trip and rescheduled for Sunday aftersoon. We had lunch at St. Louis Bread Compnay aka Panera Bread. Eh, it was okay. No spark. But he was nice.

R was today at lunch. We were at Dave and Buster's. I had to send my grilled chicken back. It was not cooked all the way through. And with this whole Bird Flu thing, I'm not tkaing any chances. Nice guy as well, but no spark.

I'm working over the holiday. I was supposed to be in LAX for Thanksgiving, but I keep trading. Who knows where I'll end up. So far tonight, I've traded from LAX, to BNA (Nashville), to ISP (Islip Long Island), to SAN/SMF (San Diego/Sacramento). I really don't want to work, but if I have to, I want a cool crew and a cool overnight.

Okay, I gotta do some laundry and pack.

Happy Thanksgiving!
